Characterized by an infection of the respiratory system, measels is caused by the Morbillivirus. A fever, cough, runny nose, red eyes and a rash are the most common symptoms. Measels is highly contagious and spreads through bodily secretions such as from a runny nose, cough, or sneeze. Careful attention must be paid to the patient's respiratory functions as serious complications can arise.
